<pre data-block="statement">What this canto covers | Śuka begins his answer to Parīkṣit: for one about to die, the fearless path is the constant chanting of the Lord's Name (2.1.11). The canto describes the cosmic form (virāṭ-rūpa) for meditation, and closes with the seed of the whole Bhāgavata — the Catuḥślokī, four verses the Lord spoke to Brahmā, whose first verse (2.9.33) declares His existence before, during and after all creation.</pre>
