The Chāndogya in the Life of the Tradition
From The Chāndogya Upaniṣad, taught by Acharya T Krishnatrey. This lesson is free to read.

Śaṅkara, Rāmānuja and Madhva all wrote extensively on it, and it is quoted more than almost any other Upaniṣad in the Brahma-sūtras. Its "Tat tvam asi" is one of the four great mahāvākyas; its "sarvaṃ khalvidaṃ brahma" and its Bhūmā-teaching shaped a thousand years of philosophy and devotion. Its stories — the truthful Satyakāma, the proud Śvetaketu, Nārada who knew everything yet grieved — remain among the best-loved in the whole Vedic corpus.</pre>
